I may use a version of that when I call again--so far I've called the Washington and Boston offices, may as well add Springfield.

I tend to stumble over my words in this sort of call or voicemail without a script, so I usually jot down a paragraph of "this is redbird, zip code whatever, calling to ask/demand/thank the senator/rep for $thing." If there's a personal angle, I may add "this is important to me because X"--if I'm calling about immigration and refugees, it may be "my mother was a refugee."
